Size: ISO/ETRTO 349, so the bare rim measures about 14 inches across, not 16. The 16" in the name is the tire size it takes (look for 16 x ... on the sidewall). How rim sizes work

Note that this nominal 16" fractional size is not the same as the 16" bicycle tire size typically found on kids bikes or on bike trailers, those use the ISO 305 spec which has a smaller bead diameter. This larger (ISO 349) 16" rim size is used by Brompton and Moulton bicycles and some recumbent bikes, and would be more aptly called an 18" rim if there was any consistency in the universe.
