This is a 100% refundable deposit to be first in line to receive a Freegen hub motor kit from Grin and Charge Bike. It will be based around a helical-cut geared front hub motor with 100 mm dropouts, with the disc rotor mounted to the planet carrier on the left side.
It gives you a geared hub motor that provides powerful torque when you need it on the hills, but freewheels perfectly with no drag when you pedal without the motor. When you use the front brakes, the motor applies regenerative braking to slow you down, greatly extending brake pad life and increasing your range.
