Alleweder A2 Velomobile

The purpose of the project is to explore the capabilities of an all year round (all weather) pedal power vehicle. I started with a 2000 Alleweder A2. After extensive clean up and repairs, I then installed a Grin RH212 hub motor, CA3 kit which included the fast wind/statorade motor, controller, 20" wheel assembly, 12 pole PAS sensor and a tripwire brake sensor. I paired it up with a Microshift Advent 11-46, 9 speed cassette and a 52 T chain ring. The set up allows me to haul up to 22 kg in the cargo space while pedaling up a 15% grade. I also plan to fabricate a hard top to provide more rain protection as it rains a lot in Eugene, OR.
