An Awesome BC Bike

Squamish

146

The goal was to build a bike for my son which could be use as a commuter bike to school and on the local trails in Squamish utilizing primarily components from BC companies. The frame, rims, front hub, handle bar, stem, seat, pedals are from Chromag in Whistler. All e-components are from Grin Technologies using the Rear All-Axle hub combined with a 52V battery, Cycle Analyst and the Regen brake kit. Carbon Raceface cranks bring a third BC company into the mix. The slow wind was selected for the Rear All-Axle hub motor to ensure excellent uphill performance in Squamish. Regen works amazingly well using just the lightest brake lever movement to control the amount of braking. Seamless transition to full stopping power with Shimano Saint brakes. Shimano 1x11 XT drive train. Modified MKS Mud guards to allow for year round riding. The bike came in at 55 lbs. The performance matches very well the simulator.
