Crystalyte H

This is my 1963 Raleigh RM5 moped conversion. It has a Crystalite H-series hub motor. 72 v 20s 8p battery. Rear Spyre cable disc brake. Kelly KLS controller mounted under the seat.

Side panel removed for charging. No longer necessary, plug accessible. — Charging

Disc fitted to replace original hub brake — Rear brake

Battery installed in laminated plywood and aluminium housing. — Battery

Controller fitted inside original seat — Controller

Hub motor fitted, but lots of work to do — During build

Wheels built with original front hub, new rims and stainless spokes. — Wheels

This is not my bike, but its the same model. — An unmolested RM5
