Stealth Beach Bike

A sleepy Giant Simple Three converted to a stealthy E-bike. My goal was to build something that has enough range that I would never have to worry about running out of charge, more power than anything bought in a store, and won't draw attention. All in, this project took nearly 2 years to complete.

The custom built aluminum battery box holds a 52v 50A pack built with Panasonic 21700 cells and a Frankenrunner mounted to the bottom with all wiring concealed inside for a clean look. Rear wheel is laced to a 9 Continent RH212 standard wind motor. Brakes were upgraded from coaster to 180mm Avid Level disc brakes.

Other parts include ERider torque sensor, Cycle Analyst V3, Halo headlight with high beam, Brooks B67 saddle, Salt Plus Warlock chain, and an ATV style throttle with long throw for finer throttle control.

Specs:
Peak Power: 3300W/63A (Limited due to phase over-current faults at higher output)
Max Regen: 1400W/25A (Limited to reduce stress on pack. 85% of max cell charge current)
Top Speed: REDACTED
Range: 250KM easy riding, 120-150KM hard riding

As of July 2023:
Odometer: 7000KM
Power Consumed: 125KWh
Rear Tires Replaced: 3
