Tern Cargo bikes (2 bikes)

We are gearing up for adventures with our daughter on our Tern Short Haul cargo bike. We've converted it using a CA3+ controller paired with a Phaserunner, driving a Grin All-Axle front motor. We left the rear hub free for future upgrades, such as a dual-motor setup or an internal gear hub.
Our primary goal was absolute reliability. To achieve this, we took extensive waterproofing measures:
• CA3 Controller: Every crack was sealed with marine silicone.
• Phaserunner: Housed in a sealed, outdoor-rated electrical box.
• Connections: All connections from the CA3 are enclosed in a sealed box to protect against water ingress.
• Motor Exit: We applied liquid electrical tape at the motor cable exit point (supplementing Grin's already excellent factory seal) to make the setup 'bombproof' and highly resistant to salty sea air.
We are currently running our older 48V Retention 19Ah batteries (strap is to remove play on rought terrain and white tape to help the battery stay cool under summer sun), which have logged over 8,000 miles. Thanks to the statiator charger, they still charge like new. Our plan is to upgrade to LiGo batteries next year to really make this bike fly!
