I prefer internal gear solutions. There are some good ones out there. For this Torker E-Bike frame I used a SRAM 3-speed IGH and a Patterson 2-speed crankset. The 2x3 gearing solution worked well for my needs and I never got grease on my work pants. This bike started out with the classic Outrider front hub motor from which l later upgraded to the Bafang G01 motor.

With the crankset shifter on the left and the rear hub shifter on the right. — Simple clean handlebar setup.
