The kit will run with any battery pack from 24V to 52V nominal (and up to 72V with a Phaserunner). We offer a range of batteries that will work well depending on the geometry of your bike, the range you need on a charge, and how fast you want to go. Be sure to select a charger model that matches the voltage (36V, 48V, or 52V) and connector style (ST3 or XLR) of the chosen pack.

9 pin mains to JST-SM throttle, ebrake, and DC jack cable harness, for basic ebike builds with a version v4 or later controller, without a Cycle Analyst. 60cm long.
There are a number of optional electronic and mechanical accessories that can help flush out the build. This includes front and rear bike lights, phone chargers, wire management, programming cables, and what have you.
The G310 motors are available in 2 different winding speeds (fast and standard) depending on how fast you need to go for a given wheel diameter and battery voltage. In most scenarios, we recommend the fast wind for 20" wheels and the standard winding speed for 26" and larger.
These motors have round axles (3/8" x 26 tpi) with internal tabbed washers to resist axle spinout, and given the lower torque capability of these hubs combined with the general thickness of rear bicycle dropouts that is usually sufficient. The round axles eliminate any opportunity for an external torque arm.
The Baserunner Z9 controller supports up to 55A peak phase currents and will be mounted neatly inside the cradle of our downtube batteries. If it is purchased with a flatpack or bottle battery we will terminate the short power leads with anderson powerpole connectors, and would recommend getting one of the optional mounting brackets.
The V3 Cycle Analyst and control switch is an integral part of this kit package.
Throttles, ebrake levers, pas sensors, and torque sensors all play a roll in how you interact with the ebike. Torque and PAS sensor automatically power the bike whenever you pedal with an assist level controlled by the CA3's MFSwitch, while a throttle gives manual control. Please see our PAS info page for more details on these options
Even if you choose a PAS or Torque sensor as the primary control, we always recommend having a throttle as well. It can be handy to accelerate in tight situations and is great as a back-up if ever the pedal sensor has issues.
The ebrake levers can be included for a motor safety cutoff whenever you squeeze the brakes.
