The new Brompton Gravel bike with 20" wheels (AKA the G-Line). Converted to a 11 speed cassette and derailleur using a kit supplied by EerderMetal in the Netherlands. A Em3ev 52v 17Ah battery is mounted in the front bag. This bag was also manufactured by EerderMetaal.
A Slow-Wind All-Axle SuperH kit was my choice because I don't need a high top speed as we are limited to 15.5 mph here in the UK, this motor has a good bit of torque for pulling my trailer up steep hills. Trailer from RadicalDesigns in the Netherlands.
The torque arm bracket was the most challenging part of this build. A DIY custom CNC stainless steel bracket that slotted underneath the rear disk brake calliper did the trick, the torque arm was cut to shorten its length. The bike stills folds nicely. The only downside to this build is that it's heavy. The bag, battery and bike now weighs 27kg!
It rides lovely, it's smooth and easy to pedal with PAS set to Zero, no noticeable motor resistants.
