I took a Yuba Supermarché and electrified it with an RH212 (with Statorade), Phaserunner V6, E-Rider torque-sensing BB, and Cycle Analyst. Front light is from Grin, rear light is a hardwired Niterider (no mods required, accepts battery voltage), and seat is a Selle Anatomica that is perfect. I reused an EM3EV 850 Wh battery from my other bike that is still going strong in its 3rd year.
I chose an RH212 over a GMAC because I wanted something quieter and with better heat-shedding capability. On these counts, the RH212 delivered. I don't think it has ever been over 50 C, even in the San Diego summer going up 12% hills, with 100+ lb cargo in the front. The drawbacks are a slight loss in efficiency and significantly less e-braking power (on a GMAC 10T, I've hit 1200 W regen, whereas this RH212 8T will only hit around 800 W I don't know if that something I should expect just based on winding speed).
E-brake cut-off is handled by using unmodified Tektro levers, which saved me a lot of pain compared to modifying levers to accept a Tripwire.
It's my daily driver for dropping off and picking up kiddo, getting groceries, getting a bite with my partner. I get a lot of positive feedback from people, especially motorcyclists.
Only issue that remains is a bug where PAS will cut off and die suddenly under particular circumstances. Seems to have something to do with using throttle and pedaling forward at the same time (has happened both during accelerating and e-braking). I've grounded battery negative to the frame, but this didn't fix it. I will start to log Cycle Analyst and Phaserunner data, hopefully that will point the way.
Planned future upgrade is a solar panel canopy / sun shade.
