V5 Baserunner_Z9 Stand Alone
Compact FOC Motor Controller with Z910 Motor Plug, 55A Peak Phase Current. Special Stand-Alone Model with All Cables Exiting the Front, Not Compatible with Downtube Battery Cradles. Includes 90cm Long Battery Lead. For 24-52V Batteries (60V Max Input).
The Baserunner_Z9 is a compact field-oriented motor controller originally designed to fit inside battery downtubes. This version is configured for installations that aren't using a downtube battery pack. The battery cable exits the rear of the controller along with all the other cables and the enclosure casting is a bit wider than a regular Baserunner Z9 as a result. This device uses the WP8 CA plug and can support speed signals, temperature signals, or combined temp+speed signals on the white wire of the Z910 connector.
V5 Model has a demux circuitry on the white signal wire of the Z910 cable to support motor temperature sensors, wheel speed sensors, and also combined temp/speed signaling. Unlike the V4 model, the V5 Baserunner_Z9 does not require the 9->2 pin adapter cable to support regen via the Cycle ANalyst.
- 8-pin HiGo plug for CA3-WP control (To convert the WP8 to a classic CA-DP, you must purchase an adapter.)
- 9-pin Cusmade Mains signal plug for harnesses to 3rd party displays, alternately use to power rear light
- 6-pin HiGo MiniB for direct PAS or Torque Sensor when using 3rd party displays
It is compatible with up to 14s (58V) battery packs and is terminated with a Z910 waterproof HiGo motor plug. Cables and connectors are otherwise identical to the Phaserunner, and remote on/off switch wires are present under the throttle heatshrink. Requires computer setup to mate and configure with a given motor, and this requires the USB->TTL communications cable if you don't already have that. Requires CA3-WP and MFSwitch or separately wired on/off switch to turn on. Full Baserunner Information Page.
A computer setup is required to configure this controller to a given motor, and this requires the USB->TTL communications cable if you don't already have one. Users without an on-off switch on their battery should expect to wire in a separate switch on their own. Full Baserunner Information Page.
