v5 Baserunner_Z9 Controller

The Baserunner_Z9 is a compact field-oriented motor controller and enclosure that fits inside the Hailong and Reention downtube battery cradles. It is compatible with up to 14s (58V) battery packs, handles up to 55A peak phase current, and is terminated with an Z910 waterproof HiGo motor plug.

V5 Model has a demux circuitry on the white signal wire of the Z910 cable to support motor temperature sensors, wheel speed sensors, and also combined temp/speed signaling. Unlike the V4 model, the V5 Baserunner_Z9 does not require the 9->2 pin adapter cable to support regen via the Cycle ANalyst:

          8-pin HiGo plug for CA3-WP control (To convert the WP8 to a classic CA-DP, you must purchase an adapter.)

          9-pin Cusmade Mains signal plug for harnesses to 3rd party displays, alternately use to power rear light 

          6-pin HiGo MiniB for direct PAS or Torque Sensor when using 3rd party displays

The baserunner purchased on its own has bare + and - lead wires that will need to be soldered to the pins of the connector present in your original base plate. We do separately sell spare spade and bullet connector sets if desired. 

A computer setup is required to configure this controller to a given motor, and this requires the USB->TTL communications cable if you don't already have one. Users without an on-off switch on their battery should expect to wire in a separate switch on their own. Full Baserunner Information Page.
