Hi, 15 years ago y had a Little Scooter (50cc 2stroke motor), The Bogota City Municipality prohibited the 2 stroke engines in the city, I already commuted a lot by bike so I decided to build my own ebike instead buying a new petrol scooter. At that time, I was a pioneer in Colombia with the ebike mobility and during the R&D process to build my own ebike I found Justin and ebikes.ca, from which I learned most of what I know. They have been providing me unbelievable products and support since 2008.

This is my last build, adapted with versatility in mind, I have a 10 year old daughter and she loves to ride seated on the extra seat, sometimes she drives and I pedal! It´s so fun. I love my ebike I can´t imagine living in this jammed city by car…

To star withs this project I had to choose a bike with some specs: fenders fittings, rear rack fittings, fitting for central stand, threated bottom bracket, and a sturdy frame with enough clearance to fit the battery inside the front triangle. — General View - non drive

I almost never use it, I prefer the Torque Sensor Bottom Bracket, it is like having superpowers!

I put the controller in an upward position to avoid water entry from the top. I dis use the external on-off water sealed switch.

Absolutely indispensable, I learned the hard way crashing and twisting the cable motor. I had to replace it, see this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=spgDaEw0QEA. Don´t hesitate…protect your motor cable.

I had some issues with the battery cables becoming loose in this MT version, maybe due to this upwards position of the controller, so I had to lace them up and wrapped with the velcro sleve.
