Last year I picked up a used Cruzbike Q559 to add to my bike collection. This spring I added a Bfang G311 front wheel 500 watt motor to the rear wheel. I had to do a tiny bit of modifying to get the brake rotor to fit. But with around 500 miles, everything works great.
I have a Cycle Analyst 3 controller to allow a maximum of 200 watts (I like to get across busy intersections fast) to the Grin throttle, and a maximum of 125 watts when using the Grin 24 pole PAS system. My sweet spot for riding with this set up is about 21 mph, or 33 kph. I run a 12 amp hour battery (which sits in a custom made battery bag above the rear wheel), which I charge to 85% of full using my Grin Cycle Sator charger.
This bike is my go to neighborhood errand bike. This is a very quiet running e-bike. I have found when I let someone who has never ridden a Cruzbike before... using the e-motor helps a lot with learning how to ride this recumbent.
