Custom LongJohn Cargo bike. Built to commute 25km run per way with 300kg total weight to replace my car trips of the same journey.
See trip simulation at end of description which shows just the G62 in the rear*. Based on these simulations and the Grin youtube videos on multi-motor systems, I decided I needed an additional motor up front.
1300kms of test riding in prototyping stage. Finished up and painted now (May 2024)
Getting about 21 wh/km doing 35-40km/h on the simulated trip (with dual motors).
Front motor comes in under moderate throttles, with rear G62 starting to assist at 50% throttle and then stepping up to providing the majority of the torque at higher throttles. Front MAC motor limited to about 50 phase amps to help keep its temp down as its also doing the regen.
I have a 250W road legal mode that the Cycle analyst resets to if I turn it off. My "Offroad" setting is limited to 80A battery current and 4500W. I'm using the "Power throttle" mode on the CA v3.1.
I'm running V3.2b3 firmware that gives back pedel regen and using the throttle to provide proportional regen.
