My Avanti 26inch mountain bike started out as the test bike to see if I would like dd hub motors, regen braking and what size battery I might need before I build my 24inch fat wheel duel suspension bike.
Easy to say the Phaserunner and Frankenrunner are the heart of my bikes . I didn't realize how much I would like and depend on regen braking and how much I would like the smooth quite speed. My bike's main use is as a farm Bike. I use it to chase sheep ,shift machinery and as general run around bike ,tool carrier.
I have a homemade 20s 4p 72v battery with 21700 liitakala cells and an active bms. The bms has no low high or amp restriction , it just balances the cells . All the controls are left to the phaserunner / frankenrunner including the power reduction ramp down as the battery runs down so I can always make it home .
The main frame off the new bike is bent and made from an old road floodway sign. The back suspension bit of a mock up and many get changed , no quite sure what to do there. I spoked out the 24inch fat wheels after using the Grin spoke calculator and watching the Grin help videos
