This frame is by Ventana. We got it over 10 years ago and rode a lot of snow, dirt, and gravel. Now at 60-years old with a bad back I can't do that stuff anymore, but I didn't want to give up riding this beauty. So, we converted her to a street rod and added some sweet Grin e-assist. BEST DECISION EVER.
This bike has a rear 170mm Rohloff Speedhub, which I did not want to give up nor did I want to give up our frame specific front fork so the front wheel Grin All-Axle Hub Motor was the perfect choice. Grin is the only company I found that machines their own inserts to fit my front fork. I had the idea to hide the battery in a frame bag and I think it looks super clean, super tight. Given the size and weight of this bike with two riders, I also purchased a second battery. We have yet to try and see how far we can ride on two batteries, but we are looking forward to it. Trust me when I tell you this bike is a head turner. Everywhere we go people stop and ask us questions. I won't be surprised if Grin sells a few more all-axle motors from our free advertising, lol.
