Conversion of a Radwagon 4 to a Phaserunner & Cycleanalyst setup. This is a heavy two-kid carrier and the stock controller just doesn't provide enough power to comfortably accelerate or climb hills. The Phaserunner fixes that problem, allowing me to run much higher peak power through what remains a legal "500w" motor. The ability to customize power onset and ramping-up is also wonderful.
*See the youtube video linked below for a full walkthrough of my customizations to the bike.*
-Phaserunner mounted on 1/8" aluminium plate using stock controller mounting holes on the frame.
-Parallel batteries, upper one on a Triplebob, connected with Y cable from Grin.
-Stock Bafang hub motor
-24-pole PAS and throttle from Grin
-Shinko tube-type motorcycle tire on the rear: heavy (3.5kg!), high rolling resistance, but outstanding grip and comfort (thick rubber + low pressure). Comfort and reliability are more important than efficiency on a kid-carrier like this.
