Solar EBikeE CT

Canberra, Australia

This is an EbikE CT from the early 2000's. It was initially converted in 2014 using cheap components that eventually died or were replaced over the years with better stuff from Grin. Now it sports a Cycle Analyst V3, RH212 and Grinfineon controller. It is also charged using a Satiator charger.
It also sports a slim, internally mounted battery (14S5P - 18650 - 850Wh) I built myself which has delivered over 20000km and 500+ charge cycles and even with degradation still gives over 55km range with the more efficient Grin products.
Future plans for the bike are to add a second, external battery and eventually replace the internal one. The solar CA was also considered, however the bike is often left charging via Solar when switched off so this was discounted.
Photo's show the bike at various stages of build over the years, showing some smaller solar panels, shorter seat-back and it's original golden motor, now replaced with a RH212.
Efficiency is around 13-15Wh/km with the Solar panel actually improving aerodynamics at a cruising speed of around 40kp/h.
