$200 Pawn Shop find. I couldn't pass up a spring sale and an XL frame. Always looking for projects.
My first project with Grin worked so well that I wanted to build another one! I now have two bikes for 2/3 the cost because of the bottle batteries that are interchangeable between my two e-bikes. It makes for a more affordable step up.
Now, I can ride two bikes on two different types of terrain—one hardtail for roads and one full suspension for trails and stuff. The hardtail allows me to hold more batteries via the two panniers, which is excellent for longer trips. I bought a 3rd battery, an Ezee 48/16ah, for long rides. I like it too( although I popped a 30 amp fuse but learned to take the battery apart).
I've had a few doggies try to catch me, and they keep up with me, but it’s always good for staying in shape! Lol. Bear spray might be an excellent defence weapon if you're not cool going over 40 km per hour. Just saying..lol I can peddle to about 45 km per hour, which keeps the dogs and me in shape. Nice poochie
