Custom build of a Grin All-Axle Hub Motor for single side applications. Be aware that there is no universal standard at all for how bicycle wheels are side mounted to trikes, velomobiles, and quads. Some level of mechanical aptitude and shop tools are usually required to secure the motor to the frame and make this work. Do not expect something that is going to be a drop-in substitute for your original wheel.
We are currently offering both the V2 and V3 motors for single side installations.
V3 Motor Model: Please select this for any applications that use 12mm, 15mm, or 16mm spindles. The axle has thicker walls making it stronger at transmitting torque, and has a more protected cable exit.
V2 Motor Model: Only choose the V2 motor if your single side mount is a 20mm diameter spindle. Catrikes and Terratrikes generally fall in this category.
