The New Regen Capable eZee Geared Front Motor CA3 Kit. Includes Downtube Battery, integrated Baserunner or external Phaserunner Controller, V3 Cycle Analyst and PAS/Torque Sensor Options.
The new L10 eZee CA3 conversion kit with downtube battery and integrated Baserunner motor controller or external Phaserunner motor controller. The motor does not have a clutch and is capable of regenerative braking and reverse mode like the GMAC motors.
Features 0.35mm laminations and uses the L10 connector standard with an internal thermistor and 6 pole speed sensor. Motor is available in two different winding speeds.

The eZee motors are available in 2 different winding speeds (fast and standard) depending on how fast you need to go for a given wheel diameter and battery voltage. In most scenarios, we recommend the fast wind for 20" wheels and the standard winding speed for 26" and larger.
Because of the high torque capability of these geared motors combined with the smaller diameter M12 axle, the use of a torque arm to prevent axle spinout is essential.

The Baserunner controller is ideal if you are getting a downtube battery as we will mount it inside the battery cradle. The larger Phaserunner is required if you need an option that can run up to 72V, or if you are using one of the other battery models. It will also produce slightly higher peak torque due to the 90A vs 80A max phase current.

Aluminum Controller Mount for Reention Poly-DPxC Series Downtube Batteries, Machined to fit Baserunner Motor Controllers
This simple aluminum plate with flanges allows any of our Baserunner controllers to be mounted on any flat surface. Works well especially for our Baserunner Stand Alone where all cables are from one end. Great when you are not using your Baserunner with a downtube battery. Comes with screws to attach your Baserunner to the plate. Alternatively, consider a Baserunner TubeMount.
The V3 Cycle Analyst is an integral part of this kit system that ties together the throttle, ebrake, PAS, and torque sensor signals into a highly configurable platform that can be readily customized for a range of performance behaviors you can't get anywhere else. As a display it may look a tad clunky, but the functionality it offers is simply unparalleled and continues to increase with each new firmware release.

The kit will run with any battery pack from 24V to 52V nominal (and up to 72V with a Phaserunner). Throttles, ebrake levers, pas sensors, and torque sensors all play a roll in how you interact with the ebike. Torque and PAS sensor automatically power the bike whenever you pedal with an assist level controlled by the CA3's MFSwitch, while a throttle gives manual control. Please see our PAS info page for more details on these options
Even if you choose a PAS or Torque sensor as the primary control, we always recommend having a throttle as well. It can be handy to accelerate in tight situations and is great as a back-up if ever the pedal sensor has issues.
Regenerative Braking can be controlled with the addition of an ebrake lever, using the throttle to modulate the signal, or it can also be activated through back-pedal crank's rotation.
