The G60/G62 fatbike motors are currently only stocked in a single winding speed (~8 rpm/V), but in two different axle lengths, 170mm or 190mm. Measure the width of your existing fatbike dropout and choose the closest match; the frame itself can easily stress/compress by +- 5mm.

Because of the high torque capability of these geared motors combined with the smaller diameter M12 axle, the use of a torque arm to prevent axle spinout is essential.

You can get a bare hub and lace it into a suitable 36 hole rim yourself, or choose to get a professional wheel build done here at Grin using our stock rim selections and quality Sapim butted spokes.  Our head wheel builder Robert has decades of experience and is renowned for building wheels that are nearly bombproof.

If you want Grin to do the wheelbuild, be sure to select either the Silver or Black spoke option from the dropdown menu, along with your preferred rim. By default all wheels will be be dished with the rim dead center between the dropouts, if you require some special dishing offset for an oddball frame please mention that in the order comments. If you are doing your own wheel build into your own rim and just require the spokes only, be sure to specify the required spoke length in the order comments to match your selected rim ERD and lacing pattern.

The Baserunner controller is ideal if you are getting a downtube battery as we will mount it inside the battery cradle.  The larger Phaserunner is required if you need an option that can run up to 72V, or if you are using one of the other battery models. It will also produce slightly higher peak torque due to the 90A vs 80A max phase current.

The V3 Cycle Analyst is an integral part of this kit system that ties together the throttle, ebrake, PAS, and torque sensor signals into a highly configurable platform that can be readily customized for a range of performance behaviors you can't get anywhere else. As a display it may look a tad clunky, but the functionality it offers is simply unparalleled and continues to increase with each new firmware release.

The kit will run with any battery pack from 24V to 52V nominal (and up to 72V with a Phaserunner).
We offer a range of batteries that will work well depending on the geometry of your bike, the range you need on a charge, and how fast you want to go.  Please see our battery info page for more details on the different pack options.
Be sure to select a charger model that matches the voltage (36V, 48V, or 52V) and connector style (ST3 or XLR) of the chosen pack.

Throttles, ebrake levers, pas sensors, and torque sensors all play a roll in how you interact with the ebike. Torque and PAS sensor automatically power the bike whenever you pedal with an assist level controlled by the CA3's MFSwitch, while a throttle gives manual control. Please see our PAS info page for more details on these options

Even if you choose a PAS or Torque sensor as the primary control, we always recommend having a throttle as well. It can be handy to accelerate in tight situations and is great as a back-up if ever the pedal sensor has issues.

The ebrake levers can be included for a motor safety cutoff whenever you squeeze the brakes.

There are a number of optional electronic and mechanical accessories that can help flush out the build. This includes front and rear bike lights, phone chargers, wire management, programming cables, and what have you.
